Diabetes is one of the commonest causes of blindness in the world. In India where we have more than 80 million diabetics, blindness from diabetes is reaching epidemic proportions.

Unfortunately a lot of people going blind from diabetes belong to villages, tribal areas and are people living below poverty line. These people have limited monetary resources and limited access to health care.

In 2016 Dr. Nishant Kumar started Eyebetes Foundation, a registered charitable organization, which creates awareness about diabetes and diabetes and blindness and provides free screening for diabetes and the common causes of blindness.

In a short span of 3 years Eyebetes Foundation has become ‘India’s Largest Charitable Initiative Against Diabetes and Blindness.’

• Screened more than 80,000 people for free for diabetes and eye diseases
• Distributed more than 1 million educational leaflets
• Guinness World Record – Most Diabetic Eye Screening in 8 hours
• Help spread awareness regarding diabetes and blindness through celebrity endorsements.
